UPC Representative and Attorney at Law
Bregt Raus’ practice focuses on patent litigation across a wide range of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and mechanical inventions.
He brings to patent disputes a strong background in highly regulated industries, notably the agri-food and broader life-sciences sectors. He also has experience advising on EU competition law.
Alongside his UPC practice, Bregt is active before the Belgian courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union, acting in both contentious and advisory matters involving EU law, regulatory compliance and intellectual property across the product lifecycle.
He is a member of the Belgian Food Law Organisation (BFSO Legal) and the European Food Law Association (EFLA).
Bregt holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School (USA), completed as a BAEF Fellow and Fulbright Student. He obtained his initial Master of Laws from Ghent University (Belgium). He is valued for his analytical precision and his ability to rapidly master complex technical subject matter.
