Christophe Ronse is a Patent Litigation Expert and UPC Representative with a long-standing practice at the intersection of patent and intellectual property litigation, life sciences and regulatory law. He advises and represents national and international clients in complex IP and healthcare-related proceedings before the Belgian Courts and the Unified Patent Court.

He has a long-standing track record in high-stakes and technically demanding patent litigation, where patent law, regulatory constraints and commercial considerations converge.

His practice covers a wide range of innovation-driven industries, with a particular focus on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and life sciences. In addition, Christophe regularly acts in cross-border patent litigation. He coordinates multi-jurisdictional enforcement and defence strategies to ensure consistency and strategic alignment across jurisdictions and forums.

Alongside his litigation practice, Christophe plays an active role in the development of intellectual property law. He is a member of the editorial board of ICIP, a leading Belgian legal journal in the field of intellectual property. Moreover, he is the author of several legal publications and a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on patent and pharmaceutical law. He also co-authors, together with Philippe de Jong and Kirian Claeyé, the periodic overview of Belgian patent case law, published every three to four years in a leading Belgian IP law review.

Christophe is also active within international professional organisations. He serves on the board of AIPPI Belgium and on the AIPPI Standing Committee on Pharma. In addition, he currently acts as Chair of the Patent Law Subcommittee of the International Bar Association (IBA).

In 2016, Christophe was appointed deputy judge at the Court of Appeal of Brussels.
